Youth Plein Air Painting Competition!

Calling all youth artists! Come paint outdoors at the Miami County Museum, Saturday, May 11th, as part of the Peru Visual Arts Festival. See a demonstration by professional watercolor artist, J.O. Buffington, and paint outdoors for a chance to have fun, learn, and win prize money!

Competition is free to all grade levels. All youth must be accompanied by a parent or guardian for the duration of the event. Submit form to the Miami County Artisan Gallery (11 S Broadway, Peru). Youth may also register on-site, with a parent/guardian, on the day of the competition, but materials are limited on a first come, first serve basis. Contact: Marlene Mickelson (765) 244-3242.

Prizes: 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place prizes will be determined by the Competition Judge, based on the quality and artistic merit of the painting, thematic material, and technique gained from the demonstration. Prize awards are 1st ($250), 2nd ($175), and 3rd ($75).
